Hydraulic and electrical, both sides of the problem
Most liftgate complaints land in two buckets. Hydraulic: a gate that drifts down, lifts slowly or will not lift loaded points at a tired pump, a leaking cylinder or a bad valve. Electrical: dead switches, chafed harnesses, corroded grounds and drained batteries, all common on gates that live behind a truck in Florida weather.
We diagnose which side owns the fault before parts go on, then repair it properly: sealed connections instead of twisted wire, correct fluid instead of whatever was on the shelf.
Platforms, pins and safety
Bent platforms, worn pivot pins and cracked mounts make a gate dangerous long before it stops moving. Our fabrication bench straightens and reinforces platforms and replaces wear pins so the gate cycles square and holds its rated load.

Questions we hear
Straight answers
My gate works empty but not loaded. What is that?
Classic sign of a weak power unit or a leaking cylinder: enough pressure to move the platform, not enough to move freight. It gets worse until it strands a delivery, so bring it in while it still moves.
Why does my liftgate kill the truck battery?
Gates pull heavy current, and a marginal charging circuit or corroded cable lets voltage sag until relays chatter and batteries die. We test the whole charging path, not just the battery.
Do you service gates for delivery fleets?
Yes. Liftgates respond well to scheduled PM: fluid, pins, connections and cycle testing. Fleet customers put gates on the same PMI rotation as the trucks.
