Allstate Auto & Truck Repair

Preventive Maintenance Inspections

The cheapest repair is the one you scheduled. Our PMI service puts your truck on a regular inspection interval so wear items get caught in the bay, not on the interstate.

Truck & Fleet

A PMI program built around your duty cycle

A city delivery truck, a regional tractor and a vocational dump truck do not wear the same way. We set PMI intervals around how the vehicle is actually used: mileage, engine hours or calendar time, whichever fits the duty cycle. Each PMI covers lubrication, fluid condition, brake measurements, tire condition, lighting, leaks, belts and hoses, and a road-test note from the technician.

Findings come back to you in writing, ranked by urgency. Items that can wait are logged so they are not forgotten, and items that cannot wait get an estimate the same day.

Why fleets run PMIs with us

An honest PMI program pays for itself in avoided tows and avoided downtime. It also builds the maintenance file you need when a DOT audit or a warranty claim asks for service history. We keep those records for you, and because we also perform DOT annual inspections, the two schedules can be combined so the truck visits once, not twice.

A typical PMI covers

  • Oil and filter service on schedule
  • Brake stroke and lining measurements

Questions we hear

Straight answers

What is the difference between a PMI and a DOT inspection?

The DOT inspection is a compliance requirement performed at least annually. A PMI is a maintenance tool performed far more often, designed to catch wear before it becomes a breakdown or an out-of-service violation. Run both and roadside surprises get rare.

Can you handle PMIs for a whole fleet?

Yes. We run fleet accounts with scheduled rotations, written findings per unit and combined billing. Tell us how many vehicles you run and we will build the schedule.

Do you do PMIs on straight trucks and vocational units, not just tractors?

Yes. Box trucks, dumps, roll-offs and yard trucks run the same discipline: scheduled service, documented findings, planned repairs.
