Allstate Auto & Truck Repair

Trailer Repairs

A trailer problem stops a load just as hard as a tractor problem. We repair the systems inspectors actually check: brakes, air, lights, suspension and structure.

Truck & Fleet

The systems that put trailers out of service

Trailer violations cluster in a few places: brake adjustment and lining wear, air leaks, inoperative lamps and worn suspension parts. We measure brake stroke, chase air leaks to the fitting, rewire corroded lighting circuits properly instead of patching them, and replace bushings, hangers and torque arms before they fail on the road.

Florida heat and coastal humidity are hard on trailer wiring and air lines. Corroded pigtails and cracked gladhand seals are cheap fixes in the bay and expensive ones at a weigh station.

Structure and cargo protection

Beyond the running gear we repair what the freight touches: floors, crossmembers, roof leaks, swing and roll-up doors, and door hardware. Our welding and fabrication bench handles cracked crossmembers and gouged rub rails, so structural repairs stay in-house.

Questions we hear

Straight answers

Do you inspect trailers for DOT?

Yes. Trailers need their own periodic inspection, and we perform them alongside tractor inspections so a combination unit is covered in one visit.

Can you fix a trailer that will not release its brakes?

Yes. Stuck trailer brakes usually trace to a failed spring brake chamber, a valve or an air supply problem. We diagnose the air system end to end rather than replacing parts on a guess.

Do you work on liftgates mounted on trailers?

Yes. Liftgate service is one of our specialties, on both trailers and box trucks.
